Outside the Cottage Door

There is a robin's nest right outside the cottage door.  Mama Robin contently and patiently sits on her eggs keeping them warm.

The temperatures today are in the 30's.  The sun is shining and my hope is that Mama Robin is feeling toasty on her nest.

I almost had put my winter coat away for the year.  I am glad I didn't.  While walking with Lilah Rose this morning, my coat was much needed.  We didn't stay out too long because she decided that inside the cozy cottage was much better than outside in the cold.  And of course, a little treat for her and a second cup of coffee for me.

As the Daffodils and Tulips

As the daffodils and tulips wake from their winter slumber, I too return to writing.  It has been too long since I have last written here.  The time spent away was one of much needed growth and renewal.  And as with the flowers, I hope to share beautiful thoughts and photographs that come to mind.

We discovered a rabbit's nest in the garden once again.  I believe it is in the early stages of being built. Last year, we had an abundance of bunnies in our summer squash patch.  At this moment, our garden is nowhere near as lush as it was then.  We need to figure out a way to help mama bunny have a peaceful nest without the worry of constant predators.
