A Happy Anniversary and More

It has been too long since I have written. I have been busy enjoying the summer gardens, playing with grandchildren, and making videos for my YouTube channel.

My husband and I recently celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary.  It seems like just yesterday that we were enjoying our engagement and wedding day.

The gardens are doing nicely.  Some little animal takes occasional nibbles of a tomato or, surprisingly, a jalapeƱo pepper. Lilah Rose has been chasing chipmunks and even caught one.

Baseball season is over and now it is time for roasting marshmallows over the fire pit, playing board games, and taking walks when the evening is cool.  I love spending time with my grandchildren.

My YouTube channel, Where the Wild Bee Wings, is keeping me very busy. Filming isn't the most time consuming part; editing is.  Even though the video may be under ten minutes, it can take almost two hours to edit it until I am pleased with the final product.

I have been trying to put out a video every day. Yes, that is a lot but some days I can film more than one and then edit them over a few days and schedule the videos.  I am thrilled to share with you that I have 89 subscribers.  Sadly, it isn't enough to monetize my channel yet.  I would need a total of 1000 subscribers for that but little by little, I am getting there.

If you would like to take a peek at my wedding dress, my wedding, and a tour of the garden, please do visit my channel.  I will end with my trailer. Blessings!

  1. I didn't realize how much time is involved in editing a video. That's a big chunk of your day. I find my days still quite full and I really like your videos and appreciate that you keep them quite short. Thank you for popping over to my blog. It's just about my everyday life and I'm constantly astonished that people read it. I hope you have a lovely weekend.

But oh! the blessing it is to have a friend to whom one can speak fearlessly on any subject; with whom one's deepest as well as one's most foolish thoughts come out simply and safely. Oh, the comfort — the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person — having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away. ~Dinah Maria Craik, A Life for a Life, "Chapter XVI: Her Story," 1859
